Detail from Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences Bulletin advertising the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle lecture "The New Revelation, or The Proofs of Immortality" during Spring Season, 1922. Bam Archives.

One hundred years ago today … Arthur Conan Doyle, renowned British author and a bit of a crank,  appeared at the Brooklyn Academy of Music to lecture about “the New Revelation, or, the Proofs of Immortality.”

The text is lost, but hints of Conan Doyle's message might be found in his interview with Ithe Evening World for its “Ten Second New Movies” feature.
