The Haberdasher
One hundred years ago today … The Haberdasher, published at 225 5th Avenue, was the official trade magazine of the garment industry.
Small wonder, then, that its May issue would lead with an editorial punching down on the failed Overalls Parade held in New York on April 24.
A Hberdasher cartoon tried to argue that the overalls movement would drive up the price of denim to where it ceased to become an economy fabric.
