One hundred years ago today … With the dairy workers strike still on, vendors of evaporated milk were competing for New Yorkers’ business. Sheffield Farms, for example, was ran this advertisement in several NYC papers over several days that week.

Since the strike’s beginning, companies had been referring to it in their advertising, practicing a form of crisis capitalism.
