“the belle of little Syria”
One hundred years ago today … Mae Azzie, whom the News called “the belle of little Syria,” married Albert Montran–again. The pair had had a civil marriage at City Hall a week earlier, along with two other couples. This ceremony was held at St. Peter’s Church.
